Watching Postseason.tv on MLB.com is supposed to be a supplement, like Hamburger Helper, to TBS. But if you’ve cut the cord and have no cable TV like me, it’s like Cousin Eddie said, tastes just fine by itself. Go Brewers. Beast Mode.

Target Field Game #1: Vincent burger, cheese curds, Summit Extra Pale Ale

$12 will get you this burger at Target Field. Sounds like a lot for a burger, sure, but at Vincent it’s still $13.50.  It was my first time at the new park. I decided to start the eating tour here, with at least 5 more games planned later this season. The burger is quite good, with the pot roast tasting short rib surprise and the gouda Jucy Lucy-like  explosion.  But according to the cashier at the counter, he thinks the $9.25 regular cheeseburger and fries basket is a better tasting option. I tried that one, too, and it was good, but nothing spectacular. Also had cheese curds and Summit. Great first night at Target Field, except if you are a Brewer fan. Good thing I love the Twins, too. National/American, ok to have two teams, right? Twins won 15-3. 7 runs in the first inning. Our seats were in the right field grandstand, row 1 or WC, wheel chair row. We had puffy folding chairs we could move around with a lot of leg room. It was great until a lot of people started standing behind us. I wonder if the game today will be rained out. My next game is Friday the 28th.

A Song A Day

Not that new, but just so exuberantly Friday in its joy. This is going to be a weekend to remember. I feel like it’s the pre-Summer kickoff, a dress rehearsal for Memorial Day. Brewers/Twins, friends from Chicago, Milwaukee, BBQs, birthdays. Life, it’s bigger. Let’s get fired-up.

Animal Arithmetic by Jónsi from Go

Wake up, cut my hair

Making food disappear

Riding bikes, making out

Elephants run you down

You and I run away, blushing cheeks

Howling wolves, colourful fireworks

Every time, everyone, everything’s full of life

Everyday, everywhere, people are so alive

We should all be (Oh Oh Oh) alive!

We should all be (Oh Oh Oh) alive!

(Icelandic) Horfandi, þegjandi, tala við, skríðandi

Dreymandi, strjúka af, koma við ekki má

Mála á líkama, spilað á renglandi

Hlaupandi! Leikandi!

(English: Listening, silent, speak to, creeping

Dreaming, wipe off, mustn’t touch

Paint the body, played on lankingly

Running! Playing!)

Get it on, let it out, fucking and spúandi

Get it on, let it out, fucking and kæfandi

(Get it on, let it out, fucking and erupting

Get it on, let it out, fucking and choking)

We should all be (Oh Oh Oh) alive!

Exist all in love, in life!

We should all be (Oh Oh Oh) alive!

Let’s not stop, let’s grow and live!

I see you colourful : I see you in the trees

I see you spiritful : You’re in the breeze

I see it in your hands : Tree fingers draw a beam

I see you in the sand : Roll down the stream

I see you in the trees : I see you colourful

I see you in the breeze : You’re spiritful

Tree fingers draw a beam : I see it in your hands

You’re rolling down the stream : You’re in the sand

… are you fired-up?
